one of my guppy's scales are starting to fall off. also, she is rubbing agaisnt the tank and other rocks. i think it is ich; however, i couldn't find any of the white spots mentioned. i tried looking it up but i couldn't find any information. i already separated her. can anybody tell me if it is ich or some other diesase? also, 2 had their tails bitten. i'm not sure what to do since i can't really find any signs of fungus except for a bit of fraying. should i separate them or give them fin rot medicine? lastly, i'm not sure if red gills are good or bad. when i looked it up, the sites stated that for some fish, they are good (red meaning there is oxygen) others stated that its bad meaning there is stress or something....anyways, please help me! thanxs

No fungus. Parasites. Anchor worms, flukes, lice, stuff like that. Something bad is hitching a ride on/in your fishes' bodies. Check out the link below and look to Magic Man also.
He's got the right idea. Best of luck liberating your fish !

It sounds like you have some type of small parasite in your tank. Without additional information it would be impossible to know for sure which one, but a good parasite medication such as Maracide would take care of the problem.

The bitten tails are probably just that, only nipping from other fish in the tank. Watch them to see if they are chasing and bitting each other. If so you will need to separte them to prevent additional fraying and damage.

The red gills are probably a result of the parasites in the tank. They will be not only on the skin of the fish, but on it's gills as well.
