I don't know which city in Florida you live in but go to this link. It has all the "housing authorities" in Flordia. Just go to the one that applies to you and contact them:

Good luck!

In the state of Florida landlords are permitted to raise your rent 6% if you have only lived there for one year. If you have lived there for two or more years they are permitted to raise your rent by 4%. They do have to give you proper notice within the timelines of your county and they are only allowed to raise your rent one time per the course of each year that you live there.

Florida statutes cover nothing in terms of rent increase rates. If there is any control, it would be on the local level, in terms of 'rent controlled properties". I am not aware of any rent control municipalities in Florida.

Nope. Whatever the traffic will bear is legal. FL offers few protections for tenants.

Not that I'm aware of. However if you're on a month to month lease, they probably can do pretty much anything the want.
