6 times in the last 2 years due to acute respiratory failure. The feeling of suffocation was a horrifying sensation.

I had my blood pressure drop so fast .... I fainted and came back conscious a minute or two after that.. the feeling of weakness, dizziness and fatigue that comes right before the blood pressure drops is what scared me the most cause i couldn't feel my legs, my weight and i felt cold all over... and in the same time i was sweating.... that made me think: "this is it.. i'm dying.. there's no other explanation for this.."
It took about two days each time for my blood pressure to get to normal....

The cause of it!!! doctors said dehydration.. while i say worrying way too much.. yes... there are times when i worry so much and i can't stop thinking of worst case scenarios... and with all those thoughts racing in my head.... my brain decides to give my body a rest... more like a warning: "caution... edge ahead..." so it drops and then it gets back to normal and i feel better than before ... but one thing i noticed... i know it's crazy to say this but when it drops .. it's the best sleep.. so relaxing :P

There were moments, whn I thought my life just flashed before me. There's once a freak accident happend in front of my eyes, a dog ran out of no where & the car tried to avoid it...it were swirling & lunged RIGHT at me!
I've no where to run & no time coz. beside me is a BIG drain & in front of me is an electric pole. I was carrying a large briefcase, almost jumped into the drain LOL.
For unknown reason, I quickly jumped right behind the pole, maybe for protection barrier & the car managed to break right on time. It's just inches away from the pole. Shocked the heavens out of everyone in that area.

Another time was whn. I had dengue & didn't get sufficent medical help nor family to attend. Didn't get any real food for a few days. Just ended up on bed for days. Didn't even realized I actually fained for 3 days straight without realizing it. Surprisingly, I woke up & ate like a pig after that although my body & head hurts very much. After tht meal, I went bck to sleep again for a few days straight till my very fierce lioness professor called me up for my project submission, else she'll kick me out that semester!
Scared the freaked out of me tht I thought "this is it...this is the end for me"...

I was swimming in Redondo or another beach, when i was in the 8th or 9th grade (around that age)and i swam to get a football some random dude trough past me. Then I got caught on a rip tide trying to through back the football, since the football went a little far out. When I was done trowing the football I got sucked passed the pear in a rip current,* it was terrible I got scared...it was difficult to swim, i couldn't swim well.(Note: I was FAT) I tried to call for help to the surfers but they couldn't hear me. Then I gave up swimming for a couple of seconds because I was so tired, I thought it was over...then I sank to the bottom of the ocean which was 2 floors down so I can rest my legs (it took like 5-10 secs to go down and get back up)and I got back up,but I was so scared because I saw a dark shark figure a couple of feet away from me so I was looking through the salty waters when I was sinking. Then when I got up I saw the shark figure again and a couple of fishes were jumping out the water ...so I was like SHIP!!! then I swam like hell, but I forgot to swim with the current instead I was against it, so by the time I got to the shore I ended up on the other side of the pear... I was mostly panicking when I was near the shark...but I thank God for saving me!!! iTs one of the Stories in my little thing I call ..."Mi Life"..there where more ...just can't think of them now...to be continued....Mu -ah -ah -ah

yes, i have really bad asthma and had an attack about 5 years ago. none of my inhalers were working so my mother rushed me to the hospital. i blacked out about a mile or two from the hospital, although my mom said i still walked (as best i could at the time) myself in. i woke up the next day with all kinds of tubes and stuff in me. they said if i would have gotten there 5 minutes later i would have died. i ended up staying in the hospital for 3 days. not something i ever want to experience again.

Yes, once when I was living in Florida. We had gone to the beach and were playing in the water diving under waves. I got caught in the undertow and was being flipped all around under water. I remember finally coming up and trying to breathe and the next thing I know, I am waking up in the hospital that night with a broken rib from cpr.

Yes, during a fire fight during the Nicaraguan Revolution, 1979. Shots peppering the inside of the house and armed combatants taking up positions in our yard.
