LOL! When I was at my Moms house not long ago, I answered her phone saying....
"Sally's whore house, take advantage of our two for one sale today, this is Bubbles, how may I be of service to you?"
...and wouldn't you know it was my Grandmother calling. My Mom was cracking up so hard. I will never do that again or not at least until that cave-woman gets caller ID.

I just say hello, but there have been a couple of times I start saying Thank you for calling (place of work) this is me how can I help you? & you know it's always when my mother calls & she lets me go through the whole thing before she starts to laugh!

My phone number is so private that there is no doubt the caller is calling me. Since the invention of caller ID, I know who is calling which makes saying "Hello?" a rather redundant greeting....Now when I answer the phone I say..."Ta-da!"

Depends... if I know who's calling, I often pickup with a silly sounding, "Hello" or something that includes the name of the caller.

hi. Then if i comprehend them I say hi Honey, or, hi lady baby, or who ever that's. My brother's relatives says, "that's the Smith relatives domicile how could I help you?" it sounds so formal. My stupid daughter says Pizza Hut will this be to stay or to pass? i think that's all on your character.
