I've been tired of mainstream rap for a good minute now. i haven't listen to the radio in about 4 months now and the only time I really hear it is when I hit the club up. I'm a fan of all coasts and a big variety (lupe fiasco, the game, wu tang clan, chamillionaire, 36 mafia to name a few). Outta the people that I like I've bought (not burned, that's stealing) pretty much most of thier stuff and need some new ideas. any suggestions?

Oh yea, and no mixtapes please. I find that most mixtapes are of low quality and if I wanted to hear some ignant fool freestyle I'd listen to the homies while we're drinking.

Tech N9ne, hes from Kansas City and hes pretty cool. You might want to check out some Bay Area rap like Mac Dre, Keak Da Sneak, Luni Coleon, Mista FAB, Yukmouth and Dre Dog. Theres some okay Sacramento stuff like Hollow Tip, T-Nutty, Sevin, and Encysion.

But yea, I hear you on not liking the mainstream stuff. I got tired of radio rap ten years ago.

Have you heard of Talib Kweli? He is a lyrical genius! Easily my favorite rapper of all time.
also Mos Def, and Common. They are the definition of hip hop not garbage rap that gets played on the radio.

And someone else mentioned the Blue Scholars, and yes they are awesome too, and from Seattle (my hometown!) I hope they go national.
