CAUSE THEY HAD THE OLD WWF SIGN WHICH THE THEY CANT USE ANYMORE

Because one of the stipulations of the agreement when WWF had to change their name to WWE, they could no longer use the WWF logo on anything.

cause they cant use the wwf logo anymore thanks to the freaking world wildlife foundation they suied the wwe over the anagram in 2002 and the courts decided that they had it first even though noone cared about them, so they had to change it to WWE
