Sarah, I know how to count (although yes, many don't) sometimes I use that blank stare so they will just change their minds! LOL

All the time! I want to get rid of my change. Usually the cashiers thank me for giving them small change because they need it.

If they have already started giving my change back I usually don't give them coins only because most of these people don't seem to know how to count! When, in the past, I have done that they just look with this blank stare and I know they are confused on how to make that change into a bill, lol.

If I am going through the line and I have change I have it out and ready to count out as soon as I hear the total. I was a cashier when I was in college and that was one of my biggest pet peeves.....people who ALWAYS have to use the exact change and waited until I was counting out change back to them or until my drawer was already closed to give it to me.

I am a cashier and I hate it when people do that, but I understand that you just don't think about it till afterwards sometimes.

Yeah...why is that...they hate that...lol...after they are in the middle of getting you your change you say oh here's exact change...lol

As I said before... I only use my credit card...
But in one of our school's cafeterias... they don't accept credit cards... so I had to bring money with me for that... n I never kept the change... threw it in the charity box (what's it called? :D)

i've done this yes,i tell the cashier i have a nickle,dime whatever and they act like they don't hear me,oh well.
