My period is generally pretty regular, but has been both early and late before. I haven't had sex since April 2, so I'm not pregnant... and my cycle was on time in April, May, and June. I should have gotten it around the 17 of July.. but I still haven't. I went to the gynecologist on the 30th, and had a "sensitive cervix". does anybody know if these two things are correlated... or why my period is almost three weeks late? and what does a sensitive cervix mean? She said it could be nothing but could indicate some type of infection...... but what kind of infection?

Sometimes being stressed about something whether good or bad can cause a period to be delayed by a few weeks or skip a month.

As for the sensitive cervix your doctor was probably talking about cervicitis which is just another way to say that the cervix is infected. When it gets infected it can get inflammed (like red and swollen which can cause the sensitivity).

I had a huge problem with cervicitis from 2003-2005 til my doctor recommended a procedure that helped me a great deal.

During the primary two-three years of your interval, it is going to be abnormal. This is traditional. Don't fear, the primary time I acquired my interval, I did not get it once more till 6 months later. It is abnormal on the grounds that you're younger and developing. You're at puberty and your hormonal cycle hasn't set almost always but. To be pregnant, you want sperm from a male to mix along with your egg to your uterus. Since has now not occurred, you're one hundred% now not pregnant.
