I have been up and down the East Coast and it seems that you can get McDonald's iced coffee everywhere except NC, SC and VA? Why? Its great!! Don't people drink iced coffee here? Dunkin' Donuts has it.

I can get them here in the Charlotte area. Might be that area hasn't gotten them yet.

The reason why is because McDonald's restaurants are all franchises. (You'll hear & in all their commercials and ads "at participating locations.") And usually franchise owners own multiple franchises in a region.

So I'd guess that you've just been seeing franchise owners that decided (for whatever reason) not to participate in this program.

Overall, though, all McD's in the US are doing it. And since their deal is better than Starbucks', they're probably increasing their busniess to participate.
