My Ex Does Not Follow the Court Ordered Child Custody or Visitation Schedule. What Can I Do?
If your child custody or visitation schedule is not being followed, you have numerous options on how to handle the situation.
You can have an attorney send a strongly written letter notifying the other parent that they must obey the court order or face legal penalties. This will show them that you are prepared to take legal action if they continue to violate the court order. This method may also be beneficial because it involves a third party and gives you additional support.
You can file a motion for contempt of court. Along with this motion, you can ask for attorney's fees and costs as a penalty for violating the order.
You can call the police. Although you may attempt to solve this problem without enlisting the help of the police, you should call them if your ex is denying you of your legal rights to visitation or custody. See Denied Child Visitation
Do I Need a Lawyer if My Ex is Not Following the Court Ordered Custody or Visitation Schedule?
An experienced family law attorney will be able to advise you of your options and help you take any necessary legal steps. Your attorney will have experience in dealing with these situations and will help you enforce the court order so that your relationship with your child remains protected.

My husband's ex wife denied my husband knowledge of the whereabouts of his girls and she lost physical custody. You need to go to court and file for custody. Most states take a parent denying children access to their other parent very seriously.

Court order is joint custody. If she doesn't want you to see them. Take her to court. Unlike many deadbeat dads, you do pay child support. If deadbeats have a right to visit the children you should too. Remember they are yours too. Not just hers. Don't let her get away with it.

Go to the courts and have them enforce visitation. You could also have them define what they consider to be reasonable. Their mother will be throwin in jail for denying your rights

dude, you know your avatar say's you're a mrs. right?
anyway, take yourself to the police station where they live and bring your court order for visitation with you. if you have specific times arranged, go on that day.the police can escort you and make sure you get your visitation. if you don't have certain days arranged, ask the police how to go about it. call your attorney as well.

She has to comply; it's the court order. Tell your lawyer about this, and she will be in contempt of court.
