Well... I would try to save them both, but IF not, then I would go for the closes like everyone else has said. Also, your question is posed awkward because had you give us the limit to only be able to save one. You say, "keep in mind you cant save both," which means we have toonly pick one. That then turns into a "who has the better chance of surviving" type of scenario than a racist one. Otherwise,I would save both. My choice it solelydependant upon your limit to me onlybeing able tosave one - and therefore I logically go with the one closes as I can save her from drowing (regardless of what race she is) since is closes to me. Just me thinking out loud... Cheers!

Whoever I got to first is the one I would help. I wouldn't just swim past one and go farther to get the other. Even if someone on here was racist I doubt they'd admit it, because people would attack them for it.
I'm not afraid to admit that sometimes I am prejudice. But that depends on the way the person looks, not the color of their skin. There are some pretty freaky white people who live around here, and I'm protective of myself. I'll admit that if I see an arabic person in an airport I get a little scared. But a lot of people are that way. If someone is nice to me, I'll be nice back whether they are white, black, Indian, Native American, latino, it doesn't matter.

You always use the order as if a ship were sinking:
1. Children
2. Women
3. Men
However since both are women you go for the one that would be the one you could for sure save. Then you return for the other whether you think they are dead or not. Because it's a policy of the search and rescue teams to find bodies, too.

Who ever I could get to. I don't think anyone would look at skin color in a life or death situation. Atleast not anyone I know! I am pretty good swimmer so I would try to save both.

It wouldn't have anything to do with their color. It'd probably be who I saw first, because in that kind of situation I wouldn't be thinking and I'd just save whoever caught my eye first.
