I'm here for a little while visit with family for the summer and fall. I don't understand this. I heard a lot of people don't like this and upset over this. I know a lot of people looking for jobs. Over 80% of the jobs are in Overland Park, Olathe, Lee Summit, etc. I know there a few buses go there during rush hr.

To me & info. I get from other people. It seem like they don't won't people to go into their community. I'm not black a person but I heard it a lot got to do with black people & they don't won't people to mess up their neighborhood. If anyone could give me their input. I would appreciate. I only brought this up because I think this strange for it to be a city & to many can't drive or don't owe a car to get to the companies to even fill out a job applicants.

Welcome to middle America. Mass transit never took hold like it did in the big cities of the East -- much different set of circumstances and priorities, as well as an entirely different mindset of the population. All of those cities you mentioned are a ways from Kansas City, the natural spot for mass transit. It's more likely that buses would go into the big city in the morning and out at night. There probably hasn't been much traditional demand to go out to Overland Park.

Can't completely dismiss racism from any discussion of public policy in America, but it's more likely that there just hasn't been the demand for mass transit in that direction by enough people to justify the expense ... particularly in an area that doesn't emphasize it.

the actual difficulty is that the city is so unfolded and has lots of municipalities. The "JO" is going between the finished Mall, Walmart, numerous retirement properties, sprint campus, the Plaza, and Downtown KC, the place you could connect with different places. regrettably, the downtown run is in basic terms for the duration of rush hours. maximum human beings interior the suburbs have autos, so it is not funded as properly accurately. I rather desire there replaced into easy rail here, besides the fact that it incredibly is an prolonged day without work.... and could initiate on the biggest places like the airport, the stadium, downtown, plaza, and someplace in Olathe/OP in the previous a real hub/spoke device is ever outfitted. the businesses in downtown KC (like DST) grant help to their workers for a bus bypass. If the businesses in Overland Park would help that (and our gasoline costs advance some greater funds), it might probably earnings the help it incredibly is going to require to bypass.

Welcome to the Midwest ! Lack of public transportation due to the fact that many of the so-called cities are actually very rural and most folks have their own transportation.
Many areas like the ones that you named, haven't caught up yet with the 21st century.
