Jesus is usually portrayed as whatever color the book is marketed to. In a Western society, he is usually Caucasian. If you see books in Africa, he's usually black...

The truth is, Jesus was from Israel. He was Jewish. So, he probably had olive-toned skin more affluent to the Middle Eastern culture.

Because most of the books you read about Him are written by White authors. Jesus would have been a Jew so He would have looked more like the people we see in Israel or the middle east today. Darker skin and hair.

He shouldn't be, he should be an olive colour, like everyone who lives in the middle east. It's a big reason why there is racism. "Well, God's white, inni?"

No, God is Spirit, He has no 'colour' and anyway, we are all just varying shades of the same colour and that is brown. Personally, I'm beige. This annoys my brother who considers himself white but that is a biological inaccuracy, as I point out when the subject arises.

Interesting thought - If Jesus were alive today, would most of the western, christian world mistake him for a terrorist? After all, these days anyone looking vaguely middle eastern is at risk of this, and the guy did look like this (allegedly).

Here's what I think...if we're so busy thinking about Jesus color, we won't be getting the sense of what's really important. That Jesus died for us so that we have a chance to put faith in him, and demonstrate that faith by works. Only by doing this, do we have the opportunity to live forever on a cleansed earth. John 3:16.

Because everybody is white. People who are dark skinned have this protection in their skin that white people also have, its just when there were people in Africa that protection darkened and they became darker and darker and that runs in genes. So, they look black but we are all really white.
