Is there any more gold in the world? I don't know if all the gold we have now is fake.

There is plenty of gold in the world.
The reason why it is so expensive, is because the larger mining businesses nearly monopolized the industry, forcing smaller businesses to go under.

Its been said that there is much more gold in California than has been discovered in the past.

Yes there is a lot of Gold, but it isn't easy to separate from other metals or hasn't been found yet.
