Go to "Control Panel - System" and check if you have the right RAM amount. Besides that you should not need to do anything.

You don't need to make any adjustments because Mother board has capability to recognize new hardware If thats a right RAM. You probably need to check the system settings to see if the RAM is available.

no,it will adjust its self,might want to run disk clean up and disc defrag
