Hilary Duff. In this crazy world of Hollywood stars gone wild (Britney Spears and her hair and parenting episodes, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and their DUI arrests) Hilary Duff has managed to maintain her good girl image that has stuck with her in her Lizzie McGuire days. Though there is evidence that she has grown up a bit on her sophomore album "Dignity," she takes pride in the fact that she has never submitted to the vices of overpartying (if there's such a word) in clubs, drinking and experimenting with drugs, hence, the title she has chosen for the album.

There is no point in viewing celebrities as role models. They are not a personal part of our lives and they are not people that you can go to in times of need.

Queen Latifah. I admire her business sense, talent and self respect. I think she is always genuine. She does not fit the typical stereotype of a celebrity and she really doesn't want to which I like.
I also think Tom Hanks is a great role model. He's been in show business for a long time and has maintained his sanity and down-to-earth nature.

i think for the younger generation hilary duff and miley cyrus (if you havent noticed they both come from disney channel even though lindsay and brittney were from disney most disney stars turn out to be great role models but make sure you still watch out for the disney divas)for the 18-like22 angelina jolie by what the things she has done but dont become 80-90 pounds just to be like her

I believe Reese Witherspoon is an AMAZING role model.
She's not the young, slutty party-girl type.
She's very elegant, tries to stay out of the limelight, and does a wonderful job raising her kids.
Even throughout her divorce with Ryan, she's been very sophisticated and pleasant about it. There aren't too many people out there like her anymore.
