A recent quite disgraceful Question asked why (presumably Americans) should be treated by 'outside' doctors from countries where they'd studied. A sad, and benighted question admittedly, - but wouldn't it be more appropriate to ask where the USA would be if only 'home-grown doctors' were allowed to practice?

Doctors can practise anywhere. US gets doctors from all over the world. US is lucky to get ready made doctors accepting less remuneration. Those who refuse to be treated by foreign doctors must be prepared to subsidise medical education of American students with limited resources

Doctors should be able to practice anywhere they wish, as long as they can pass the appropriate medical tests. If you could only practice in the country you studied, there would be NO doctors in certain parts of the world!

A good doctor is a good doctor no matter where they are from. To isolate a good doctor because of where they studied is just stupid if they can help a lot of others somewhere else.
