I'm trying to get the chain off and it will NOT come. It is off of the rear sprocket and is loose, but it is stuck on the front sprocket. It wiggles a bit but no amount of prying or WD-40 has convinced it to come off. It's almost like the chain is welded to the sprocket. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Put the chain back on the rear wheel and roll the bike forward.
Moving the bike will roll the chain around the front sprocket and possibly free it.
Another solution - Remove the front sprocket from the bike and take the chain with it.

Use a heat gun with a sitting of at least a 1000 degrees.

Make sure you aim it at the chain and nowhere else. About 5 minutes ought to do it. Just keep tugging on both ends of the chain.

Check the teeth on the front and rear sprocket. if there are any hooks, crooks, bends, or broken teeth then replace both sprockets and the chain.

Remember the chain is supposed to be oiled. That would have stopped this from happening.

pour liguid wrench on it,let it sit over nite, then it should come off,if not take the speocket off, then you can either get it off or buy new sprocket and chain, your sprocket is most likeley to need replacing anyway

Hacksaw - or chain breaker

Then it will come off no problem - it needs to be replaced anyways - so why are you trying to save it???
