In other words, why do they keep pushing to change things here in the U.S.? For example, special foot baths, prayer time -outs, etc. Who do they think they are if they (as a CAIR official said) say they will abolish the Constitution and implement Sharia law?

As someone else said, the US wasn't founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Our country was founded by people who wanted RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. Which means that all religions should be accepted in the United States as per our constitution.

I don't believe they are trying to change things here. They are trying to get rights that they deserve. There religion says that they have to do certain things at certain times such as prayer and in order to pray, they have to do certain things such as wash their hands and feet. What if we made it so you couldn't practice your religious beliefs? How would you feel?

If you knew anything about anything you wouldn't be asking this question.

Actually, the constitution allows provisions for religions. If you are a follower of a legitimate religion (like Islam) and your religion requires you to pray when you feel compelled to, you must be allowed to do so.

You say they push for change in the US, but it affects them only, unless you are a Muslim. They are not abolishing, but rather following the constitution. This whole business of Sharia law is so ridiculous I'm not even going to comment on it.

*snort* i like how peoplet hink that in basic terms because of the fact God is written it makes each and every thing Christianized. considering I scream God for the duration of intercourse does that make it Christian based? My atheist husband would end drowsing with me. the 1st modification is going quickly against the 1st commandment. God isn't pronounced a single time in the two the form or the bill of Rights. whilst seperation of church and state began off in a letter from Jefferson, it incredibly is been qouted in greater then 4 ultimate lawsuits, observe for observe, because of the fact the criminal interpretation of the 1st modification. there's a reason for it. If we permit the church into government, we would as properly bypass back to the dark a while. If we permit government in church, we would as properly be communists. human beings declare they decide for Christianity interior the government.besides the fact that it incredibly is because of the fact they anticipate it incredibly is going to likely be THEIR type of Christianity. word what share Catholic presidents we've had. What if it replaced into THAT church that ran the government. examine out how they freaked out over Mick Romney. What if THAT type got here to regulate. i will wager you dolar to donughts they does no longer decide for the government.and church mixing up then. The forfathers observed this. observed what it did to different worldwide places and tried to circumvent it.

The statue of liberty doesn't say give me your judeo-christian huddled masses. Should we have to pay for special foot baths? absolutely not, no more than we should have to pay for any other religious propoganda with our tax dollars. Separation of church and state, that is what the u.s. was founded on.

Because the religion of the founders is completely irrelevant. They were smart enough to keep religion out of politics. It's the automatons who followed who screwed up everything.

Look. Muslims want to be able to practise their Religion while in any country. USA claims that it allows that - so what's your problem?

Differentiate between extremists and true Muslims.

I thought our country was founded on the principle of FREEDOM. Our Constitution endorses no particular religion, yet is tolerant of any religious belief.

So, the common denominator is FREEDOM, not religion.

The "founding fathers" consisted of various demoninations of Christianity - some of them quite 'radical' - and also included more than a few 'Deists' (Deism being a philosophical predecessor of secular humanism).

They plan to have control of this country by 2020 - it ought to be interesting to watch them battle the Mexican invaders.
