I already used Monistat 1, but it didn't seem to completely work, it only minimized it. I'm not sexually active, so it really has got to be a yeast infection. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to see a doctor. They can prescribe something stronger. Plus, recurring yeast infections can be a sign of something else, like diabetes. The only time I had a yeast infection that I couldn't get rid of it turns out I was pregnant. Plus it could be a bacterial infection that is not necessarily sexually transmitted.

Try yogurt. I know it sounds wierd but it works like a charm. You get some plain yogurt. Write "Do NOT eat or touch - Science Experiment" on the carton, too. Just in case. So, you push a tampon halfway out of the applicator and dip it in the yogurt, then insert the tampon.

It's gooey, it's gross, but it works to balance the yeast. I told my roomate in college to try it. She was willing to try anything because hers was so bad that the monastat BURNED. Anyway, I know it works like a charm.

Of course, I am not a doctor. I am, however, a huge fan of doing things the natural way before seeking antibiotics. I also like saving money. Try the yogurt for a day or two. If it isn't helping, go to the doctor. They have pills and creams and suppositories galore. It's up to you. Good luck!

Better go to the doc and get something stronger. The OTC stuff isnt working and he can give you some oral antibotics too. But it could be something more then a yeast infection.

How long has it been since you used it? The one day treatments still take about 7 days to work. If it's been a week and it's not better, make an appointment with your doctor.

Go back to your doctor, it could be something else...but in the mean time start eating yogurt with the active bacterias, and Cranberry juice....real 100% juice not blends or beverages...you maybe reinfecting yourself by wearing the same underwear...washing it in your machine will not always kill the yeast bacteria.....wear panty liners and change it OFTEN.
