In fairness to the girls, there are also a few stupid teeny boys in that club too. Talk about having every ounce of testosterone sucked out of you! The reasons are numerous.
1. MTV - in between reruns of My Sweet 16 & The Hills, they manage to sneak in a healthy dose of either rap or MCR-type refuse.
2. Clear Channel & CBS radio own all the stations in the country and pretty much dictate what we listen to.
3. To fill the void of the boy bands, some genius at the record labels invented the "punk" boy bands, or the new "emo" as it is now known as.
4. They merely copy their friends instead of thinking for themselves.

This girl obviously had serious issues way before she got into the whole "emo" thing. I for one cannot believe that the father did not take it more seriously when he saw the cuts on her arm- that surely should have sent alarm bells ringing. This is a tragic death, but as for blaming it on MCR, that's just pathetic. "Suicide cult" band? Don't make me laugh....How many times have MCR said that suicide is bullsh*t and spoken out against the "emo" trend? People need to wake up and stop blaming what is becoming a serious problem amongst the youth of today on rock bands. Just another example of people being afraid of what they fail to understand.

It's just a fad, My Chemical Romance will be forgotten in a few years, like any other unoriginal, whiny band. These days, the amount of eyeliner counts, not the amount of skill. Pretty sad.

Unfortunately it's not just the girls. It's just some more fad bullshit. People being sheep. They have no real opinion of their own so they just like what's "in" at the time. Which unfortunately now consists mainly of no talent whinyass lame bands with no real substance. It's sad really.

I'd like to know, they're totally metro and their music is so crappy to me. BTW I am a 24 year old male metalhead, so i'd be naturally biased right? Most all of my friends have no clue why anyone likes my chemical romance.

They love the emo.
I've seen some of their music videos and they freak me out. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually Neo-Nazi's (with all the blond hair etc etc)
