Without a doubt

Yes, Ray Lewis is a sure-fire hall of famer. A hitting machine like no other. Fallout from the criminal case might prevent him from getting the nod the first time his name comes up, but he's gotta go in! And Ray has that all-important Super Bowl Ring (and MVP!) from 2000.

Some people here are clueless- Junior Seau was the best linebacker of the 90's!! Remember he's been in the league several years longer than Ray. Can you count 11 consecutive Pro Bowls?? The old shadow-of-his-former self Seau spotted playing playing in Miami and New England isn't the one to compare to Ray Lewis, but the monster from the first 10 years of his career. Another reason Junior is a certain first-ballot guy is he did so much in terms of community service while in of San Diego- his record with charitable organizations might be the best of any football player at any position.

Ray Lewis has been one of the most consistent, high performing defensive players of the past ten years, regardless of position. He was the leader of one of the greatest defenses in NFL history (2000), a defense which not only allowed the fewest points in the NFL history over a 16 game span, but also a defense that actually won games for the Super Bowl champs that year given how woefully inept the Ravens offense was that year. A former NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2000), considering his career is not yet done, he still has time to add to his defensive statistics and accolades, and another Super Bowl championship is not out of the question. Compared to the other recent Hall of Fame inductees at linebacker (Singletary and LT), Ray Lewis has numbers comparable to those of Singletary (he is in no way the sack machine that LT was) and brings the types of intangibles to the field that made Singletary such a fearsome player. Is Ray Lewis a Hall of Famer? I say yes, first ballot.

Ray is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and seven time All-Pro. He has established himself as one of the greatest linebackers ever and one of the best players in NFL history. Lewis won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2000 and 2003 to become just the sixth player to win the award multiple times. He was also the first linebacker to win the Super Bowl MVP since 1971 and the first to win the award on the winning Super Bowl team. So to answer the question, I think he is a first ballot Hall Of Famer easily.

Ray Lewis? isn't he the punk that murdered a pair of fellows in Atlanta and then ratted out his accomplices in substitute for a lesser sentence? Did he nevertheless play soccer after that?

He shouldn't have been allowed to play after being connected to a brutal murder.

Let's hope Goodell bans Vick from the NFL, bans Lewis from the HOF, and kicks out O.J.

The NFL doesn't need criminals being role-models. They need more Troy Polamalu's.

Don't forget Raven's fans, you're only just the Browns at heart.

Anyone who says no doesn't know football. Lewis is one of the top 3 LB's in NFL history. Absolutely no doubt about it, he's a HOF

Ray Lewis was involved in a gangland style murder. He should not be considered for the Hall Of Fame.
