I have a 2001 accent and I keep up with the maintnance to it. 2 days ago I added some oil and today was the first time I drove on the highway at 60mph. The car shook a little and I noticed some smoke coming out. I let off the excelorater and it went away. It did this one more time and then I got off the highway. At slower speeds it doesn't seem to be happening. Could this just be that I spilled some oil on the engine or is this a bigger problem??!!

First check your oil level. Did you overfill? No, spilled oil if it eventually dripped to the exhaust will smell hot, but wouldn't make the car shake. If you didn't overfill it, I'd have it looked at.

what color smoke was it? white smoke means you are burning coolant, which could mean you have a bad head gasket or cracked head.. blue smoke means you are burning oil.. older worn out engines usually develpoe this problem over time, worn seals and parts will cause this.. black smoke means you are not burning the gas completely. this can be caused by many things but usually it is an indication that the car is in desperate need of a tune up. hope this helps..
