Money is not the real answer to bring poor people out of poverty. Poor people often make bad choices in life, that disallows them from holding onto their money. Bad habits? Lack of education? What is it? Something separates the poor from the rich.
If you take all the money away from a rich guy, say, Bill Gates or Warren Buffett, he will still be able to create his wealth again.
If all the money in the world was redistributed to bring everyone to an equal level, yes poverty could be lessened, but only for a short time before it goes back to the way it was.
The answer, to a certain extent, to cross the threshold from poor to middle class, is education.

The question is hopelessly misguided. Poverty exists not because there is not enough wealth, but because creation of wealth is restricted by poor government policies. Take a look at India; it's a poor country. Now take a look at Indians who live in the U.S., Britain, Singapore, or even Africa; they tend to succeed well beyond average. What's the difference? The Indians living overseas don't have to deal with Indian bureaucracy...

Yes - more is spent worldwide on weapons and ammunition yearly than the total debt of world poverty. This is shocking and, yes, we need weapons to defend ourselves against terrorists etc., and to control crime - but maybe the government should consider giving a little more in aid and become more efficient at things like roadworks etc. so less money is wasted on stuff like that.

There are unequivocally enough resources and technology on the planet to provide every single human being with the BASICS of life; food, clothing, shelter and health care.
The only thing lacking is people's understanding & will to do so and the demand that the impoverished masses (at all levels of poor) must make of governing leaders and corporate giants, who hold all the power, that their political and financial powers be used to benefit the entire human population and not just to make themselves constantly Richer.
See how it can be done.

Well yes, but wealth is not what the poorest need. If all money was divided up equally, the people with no resources would still suffer.
What the poorest need is adequate resources and fair trading.
