I just came from a trip where some rest stops marked the interstate with an "Eisenhower" sign, but others did not. Are there different highway systems in the US?

the U. S. street became created as a countrywide protection gadget, no longer a welfare application. It became a astonishing byproduct that it offered the electorate a thank you to get around. "while President Eisenhower went to Kansas to announce the interstate street equipment, he introduced it as "the national protection street equipment." In 1956 President Eisenhower signed legislations organising the national equipment of Interstate and protection Highways (approximately 40-one,000 miles of roads). "
