That was really sad to read. Really.
It is in the new papers. Its under national briefing along with a lot of other things that have happened. Its no different than the articles you read on people murdering their children or the child found in the closet eating dry rock and insulation that is usually in that same section of the papers. It seems like most of the things that should be put on the front page is always in the national brief instead. I guess it would have been different if more people were shot (thank God there weren't). Truly though, I don't think that race has anything to do with it. The way the news is, it's really screwy.

2 Reassons I can think of.
A) The media hasn't gotten wind of this yet and u should call them up and ask. Unless somebody works for a news outlit I doubt anyone on here could tell u the reasson.
B) The police could have put a gag order on the press or asked the press not to say anything till they got more information on there investagation.

YOU MEAN THIS STORY....
Two men, Deshawn Harvey and Terrance Aeriel, and one woman, Ofemi Hightower, were the victims of a confrontation at about 11:30 p.m. between two groups behind Mount Vernon School, police said.
Terrance Aeriel's sister, 19-year-old Natasha Aeriel, also was shot. She was listed in fair condition today at University Hospital, hospital spokesman Rogers Ramsey said.
Newark police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding the homicides, according to Newark Detective Todd McClendon.
All four people in the schoolyard killings were shot in the head at close range, prosecutor's office spokesman Paul Loriquet said. He said the three victims who died were lined up against a back wall of the school and shot.
The victims all are Newark residents, Loriquet said, and three had Delaware State University identification cards.
A separate shooting at 8:30 a.m. on Smith Street left one man dead, in what the prosecutor's office is calling a retalitatory shooting for an attempt on two people's lives earlier this morning in the same area.
The killings brought the number of homicides in the city this year to 60, compared with 63 for the same time last year, McClendon said.
Staff writers Suleman Din, Julie O'Connor, Jonathan Schuppe and John Holl contributed to this report.
WHY MAKE IT A RACE ISSUE... ITS NOT... THEIR 4 SHOOTINGS IN PITTSBURGH LAST NIGHT... DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THAT... OR THE OTHER 1000'S ALL OVER THE US... ITS NOT A MATTER OF RACE...
ITS SAD BUT ITS SIMPLY WHAT KIND OF NEWS DAY ITS IS. LIKE IT OR NOT THE NATIONAL MEDIA STILL USES THE NEWS AS A POPULARITY CONTEST. THE BETTER STORIES RUN AND THE LESS THAN EXCITING ONES DONT. THERE ARE MURDERS EVERYDAY BUT DAMN WHEN PARIS HILTON BREAKS A NAIL... NOW THATS NEWS (SENSE SARCASIM HERE) IM SORRY THAT THE NEWS DOESNT PORTRAY EVERYTHING WE THINK IT SHOULD BUT DONT MAKE IT A RACE ISSUE.. ITS NOT

There has been coverage in papers all over the U S and it has been on the national news in different countries.
PS.
Please La Bella Moren, that so called black boy that got no news coverage was Steven Lawrence and believe me everyone in Britain is aware of who he is and how tragic it was the way he lost his life.

I have been given it, Trick question. there'll be no Media coverage, with the aid of fact the two white adult adult males have been the digicam guy and the reporter. And Al Sharpton could do no longer something, with the aid of fact he does no longer understand, If he did understand and seen that they have got been raped, he could have a flash lower back of the Tawana Brawley case and could be afraid to do something. Did i'm getting it perfect, do i'm getting the two element prize = )

Sadly, there are many tragic killings and other events that happen daily. Most do not make the news, no matter if the victims were white or black or red or yellow or whatever.
My question to you is this: If this had happened to white people and not made the news, would you be mad about it then?
Why didn't you use the example of if this had happened to Asian people or Hispanic people? This is called reverse prejudice. You should simply be sad because it happened to three people.

You should call the news and complain about it. If they were white the odds are 99 persent. coming from a white person. That is not right. The news could be worried about a up rise over it to. Have they caught the person or persons that did it? I hope so. God bless

because nobody cares. it happens everyday somewhere in the usa. these gangs are in witchita to atlanta to jacksonvillee, philly, nyc, la, etc etc. every damn day it is one whacked out gang paying back some other group. they all have records. the cops have them in the computers and identified and they are watched as much as budgets will allow. but they still do these killings, robbings and extortions and rapes etc eetc. a few million in prison and many more million waiting for spare rooms. they fail at rehabilitating them and it seems hopeless to those who are on the inside. my nephew is in the lockups. the whole system is funded by drugs, mostly crack, and the police cannot do anymore than they are doing. the prisons cannot do anymore. and nobody wants to pay more taxes to TRY and help. it is all about babies having babies and street kids with essentially no parents and they just keep making more. millions more coming on line. you have no idea how big the underlying problem is. gonna get way worse. so three black youths shot aint a drop in the ocean man.

I agree with you...I was shocked that the only way I heard about it was on Yahoo's main page. I guess it wasn't important enough for the national news to cover it.
