In My Opinion, Risk Is A Fun Game, But Not One To Be Brought Onto A Family Vacation. It Could Lead To Arguments, And Takes Forever To Read The Rules, And Even Longer To Finish Playing The Game.

I love board games! Risk is very cool, but involved so be sure it is age appropriate for everyone. A Deck of cards has unlimited possibilities and is easy to travel. Puzzles are a good way to pass an evening and feel close and have conversation. I also recommend taking time each day to read a book to your family, try Two Little Savages...or The Old Man and the Sea...or Harry Potter or The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe...etc.

Probably not. It is a long game and players who are eliminated early will have to amuse themselves until the others finish. Check out www.boardgamegeek.com and research under "Party Games" for alternatives.
