The Dems. took control of the house stating how they really wanted to make a difference because the Reps. did not. After years of talking about going green and better fuel standards for cars, the Dems. don't even attempt to take on the issue. They tackled the issue the same way the Reps. did, they pushed it aside because it was too hot to debate. Didn't we elect these people specifically to debate and legislate these issues?

Easy. Cause they wanted control of congress. The reason why they push the so called "Global Warming" is so they can gain power.
Global warming is false. More and more scientists are now finding out that the originally data they found (years ago) is wrong. The new data from more reliable ways of testing is saying that the amount of carbon in the air is not at all at the level we thought it was at.
How bout the temperatures rising? recently a credited meterologist named James M. Taylor found out that these thermometors that were planted to find out the rising temperatures where planted next to exaust fans of air conditioners (which put out hot air), and other very interesting places (for more info go to http://www.heartland.org/Article.cfm?artId=12284).
As for the man AL Gore himself, he reminds me of a bad guy from a James Bond film. Since he couldn't be president, he now is trying to "save the world". The really inconvienent truth is that he is a puppet. When they build all these big machines for our air, whose going to get the money. These machines cost trillions of dollars each, and all this money is supposedly going to come from the tax payers of America. So instead of your money going to support a war that is supported by the governement, its going to some tycoon who claims he's a scientist that owns the company that builds these machines
So in all, the reasons why democrats arn't doin anything about it is because its all a hoax. Thats the real truth, and its not so inconvienent.

Some of us elected people to keep the government out of things they shouldn't be involved in such as mileage standards.
If the American people are truly interested in mileage standards, they will buy cars that get good mileage.
What you seen to favor is empowering the government to enforce your personal preference upon all Americans.
The 'fuel standards' were removed from the bill because there are still a few in government that understand what liberty is. Good thing.

AHHH timmie,,,,,before you can impeach someone, they have to have committed an impeachable offense. No one in the White House had done that since Bill Clinton. Just because you want it to be so doesn't make it so.
