My boyfriend/fiance is in the army & he's coming home for labor day weekend but only for 3days & so 4 days ago we decided to get married Sept.1st. I haven't asked for the days off @ my job & to make matters worse on thurs. I will have a new manager. So my question is: Do they have to give me the days off or could they deny them?????

As long as its so far in advance it should be ok. Just plead your case and offer to take extra shifts before or after to make it up. Ask now before you have a new manager, and when the new one comes, make sure your current manager also knows of the deal you made with the old one, and ask if he or she is willing to honor it.
Good luck!

They could deny you. Most people would not though so go ahead and try. If they don't you should start looking for another job. I can tell you that you not being let off from work so you can get married is not an excuse to not to get married. If you did go to work and you were marring me, I would not ever marry you if you chose your job over me.

They don't have to give the time off. If you tell them that he is coming home from the military and is only going to be home for a few days, it might help them say yes.

They could deny them - that's the right of every manager. But they probably won't. They'd feel too bad.

I would just go ahead and talk to your current manager. The earlier you get things nailed down, the better it will be for you.

There is nothing requiring them to give you those days off. Try asking for them off ASAP. This may end up costing you your job, as I assume you're going to spend that day getting married.

Wakey, wakey? Would getting the time off work not be a given - whether you were getting married or just taking the time off for him being home?

You'd best get to your new manager asap and plead your case.

Put in for the time off now. When new bosses come in they usually have to grant any time that was okayed off prior to them coming. Congratulations (by the way)
