Yeah, it seems to me that dreams are a crazy mix of things you have conciously or subconciously thought, felt or experienced and mashed together to form some non-sensical 'storyline'. But I do think its always a manifestation of something we have thought or felt or seen at some point and needed to outlet.

I think dreams represent what we would like to have happen in our lives, and that they can have a small amount of significance, especially if the dream is recurring. Dreams tell us what we want from life, and we are able to experience things we couldn't in reality. Otherwise, I wouldn't put much stock into dreams.

Hi,
Dreams are a complex and fascinating mix of our past and recent experiences, thoughts, hopes, longings and much much more.
I have vivid dreams and can relate some of them to happennings, conversations, thoughts of the day before. These ones are quite easy to decode. There are so many 'types' of dreams: nightmares, lucid dreams, epic dreams - these are so vivid and significant that they can stay with you for years and prophetic dreams. I have experienced all. So I have to say not always do your dreams match your thoughts in your waking life.

Yes and no. It seems that my dreams usually reflect what I am thinking about subconsciously. For example, last night I dreamed that I had reconnected with one of my old friends that I haven't seen in years.

However I hadn't thought about her during the day, except right before I went to sleep when I remembered her 14th birthday party. Nothing happened to cause me to remember that event, I was just thinking about it subconsciously.

So no, m dreams normally don't reflect what I give significant thought about during the day, but they seem to reflect what my subconscious mind is pondering.

Noooo I have been having these weird nightmares lately. Ones that seem so real. Like someone breaking into my house and a dead deer being in my room and my dog chasing a mouse... I've been having some strange dream each night for about a week now. I have no idea why.
