No....... mine involves that in the beginning there was a giant turtle. It laid an egg that became the earth.

Then a fire-fly threw a book from the sky and hit Mohamed in the head.

Haha, funny, but you made a mistake by interpreting the bible literally. As a side note, I thought this was an abortion question since you mentioned conception and a talking "snake". If your "snake" can talk then I guess you would be clinically insane.

Islam delenda est? Wow, you make think you're educated with that bit of Latin, but you are are clearly a deranged fool more dangerous than Bin Laden.

As for the irrelevancy of this question in a political forum (yet interesting nonetheless), no people are not insane who believe in such things, they are simply uneducated. Lack of education is a serious problem in this country because many communities are run by fundamentalist Christian sects and for obvious reasons, do not support education in schools. There's nothing we can do as long as America is in the back pocket of rich Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc.

Actually, no, I was raised in a Christian home, but I am smart enough to realize that the bottom line is that the bible was written by MEN, not God. There are some great stories in there, but a literal intrepretation of them is nothing short of insanity.

Yes. And you can call me clinically insane if you'd like. I really don't care what angry Y!A Atheists or anyone else thinks of me.

I am a black, female conservative, so unfortunately, my skin is thicker than most.

AND maybe you should direct your angry rants to the religious section.

You know, atheists would be taken a lot more seriously if they didn't contradict themselves. They treat it just like another religion. South Park nailed it.

No... but I'm guessing the end of the world will come about because of one.
Politicians speak with forked tongue.

Your questions would be better answered if you entered them in the religion and spirituality section, especially when they have nothing to do with politics.

No.

Genesis is the oral traditional beliefs of the Jewish people. Oral traditions and beliefs are folklore, the ancients descriptions of how the world came to be, and how their peoples came to be.

The creation of the Earth in 6 days and the Serpent in the Garden of Eden are metaphorical in nature, IMO.

But I fail to see why other peoples' beliefs, which do no harm to you, cause you to be so hateful towards them. What's it to you?
