I checked out wipe drive by White Canyon but it seems many ppl are haveing trouble reinstalling windows xp. My comp. wont allow any virus clean up system to run it reboots them all, tried avg, lavasoft, sysweeper, nortons and AOL. they all get rebooted before complete even in safemode. HELP!

I'd reccomend these 2, run each in turn
ADAWARE fro www.lavasoftusa.com (Free personal version)
also SPYBOT S&D from www.spybot.org (Again free for home use)

Also worth having in toolbox is CCLEANER from www.ccleaner.com again a free download, and a good general windows tidyup utility.

Start by making backups of the files you don't wanna loose. Make sure you have the driver CDs (for your soundcard, videocard, network interface card, etcetera), as well as the Windows Installation CD.
Download DBAN (free, from http://dban.sourceforge.net/), put it on a CD, put the CD in your computer and have that wipe your harddisk. There's no way anything will be left on your harddisk after that. Reinstall Windows. After installation, install a virusscanner (like AVG). Install all updates (including SP2 if you're using XP). Then put the backup back. Do a full scan after you restore the files from backup.

Since you apparently have access to the internet, try Trendmicro Housecall. It's an online virus scan that os very good. You can also try avast! and run a boot scan so it can't be shut off. I hope you don't have important things on your hard drive, because they will be gone when you reformat.

You need to boot to a CD or floppy and run a virus scan on the hard drive.

It sounds like your best bet might be to format the hard drive (which will wipe out everything, including viruses), and reinstall, be careful to scan any disks, CD's, or USB drives you might be using too.

Could be a problem with device drivers , hardware or software . This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html
