False assumption -- where do you get the idea that every businessman or every athlete who happens to be a liberal hates competition....
If you cited a source to justify your blanket statement, it might come off as being less of a blatant bashing attack.

Hold on, that's a broad and sweeping generalization that for the most part is not true. That does not apply to all liberals, but to some, perhaps even a great many, though.
I would recommend that instead of a question childishly designed to irritate instead of illuminate, you focus on an aspect of non-competition that many liberals espouse - failing public schools, non-support of right-to-work, to the whackiest of things like not keeping score or not having grades, or making schoolwork into team projects, etc.
These are specific incidents of non-competition where the benefits are dubious to non-existant and the cost and negatives are many.

Liberals believe that when there are winners and losers that the losers have somehow been wronged and the winners have somehow taken advantage. Clearly this is not always the case. They particularly hate it when a business is successful. Somehow profit is evil. I just dont get that. They love the tax revenue that profit generates however. They hate the cigarette companies yet they siphon off the penalties that they impose and use the funds for more useless spending. It was supposed to be dedicated to anti smoking ploicy and such.

The free market system works if Libs would let it. If a company goes belly up, another one will take its place. The government doesn't need to get involved.

Liberals have the conscience to know that life isn't just about competition.
Conservative vote on what makes US the most powerful and the so-called "best". Liberals focus on what's better for us and everyone else.

Competition leads to having to work harder to stay ahead. Dems would prefer most people stay home on welfare, while they turn the govt into a welfare source for the educated...

Because Cons are only interested in "competition" for their rich friends...to compete with their OTHER rich friends and corner the market. There is no "little guy" competition anymore.

Because "It's not fair!!!" They hate competition because they almost always lose. And the few time they didn't, we all wish they had.
