Room temperature when not running. When running, it all depends on processor, hard disk, fans, airflow, etc... You'll also see different temperatures at specific locations (processor, power supply, hard disk) on the system. If you purchased from a vendor (i.e. Dell, HP, etc...) they'll often include a statement about operating conditions that can give you an estimated temperature.

This varies from location to location. It also depend largely on the size of processor and other accessories in the system. Usually most desktop computers operate at between room temperature (0 degree C - 55 degree C 32degF to 131degF) Other factors not considered.

Hello, There are more then one temperature for example :
CPU's temperature & MotherBoard's Temperature in the Desktop computer the first one between 38 and 42 and the second between 27 and 35 .

whatever the room temp is in the room, that is what the default should be
Usually mine tells me in the bios, its at 23c or 73.4F and it can get up to about 42c after i leave it on for a while
