Hyderabad has Hyderabad central, Shoppers stop, Magna, Lifestyle & City center. At least 10 more are coming up in central business district. Other areas are getting 20 more. And this is the list of only big ones. List of medium ones is endless along Banjara hills road number 1, panjagutta, rajbhavan road, Ameerpet, Airport road, Paradise, Lakdi ka pul & Abids.
Except for Magna, others have big standlaone shops also around it.
Now if cheannai only has spencers as per my knowledge, but for a tamilian, even one will be bigger than 1000 in other places in India as Chennai splendor is special for them. However 1000 in Chennai will be considered as nothing compared to one small one in an obscure town in USA, so beware of those observations.
I am neither tamilian, nor telugu, but hails from north India.

i think its chennai, it even has spencers, i am not sure if hyderabad has it though
