Yes but...

Sunlight goes through the windows and heats up the air inside the car. When the hot air has nowhere to go, it will just continue to keep getting hotter. Cracking the windows allows the hottest air (hot air rises, so the air at the top near the window crack is the hottest) to escape from the car.
However, the best way to keep the interior from becoming so hot is to stop the sun from getting in so much. Those reflective sheets you put in your windshield is the best way of keeping the interior of your car cooler.

by no potential, ever bypass away your canines in a parked motor vehicle! not even for a couple of minutes! warmth interior a parked motor vehicle can build, in in simple terms some short minutes, to as much as 40 levels above the exterior temperature. case in point, on an 80 F day, temperatures in a parked motor vehicle can attain a hundred and twenty F in as low as ten minutes, especially if the motor vehicle is interior the sunlight. Leaving the domicile windows cracked helps little or no and that's on condition that there is a breeze. ingredient in humidity and the canines does not have a snowball's danger!

I not think it help much. Try a simple experiment. Crack the windows and leave a thermometer somewhere, out of the sun (Floorboard?). See what it say and then close the windows an see what you get. May try in sun and in shade. But, it need to be done with the temperature outside the same during both tests.
I do know rolling the windows down when we get in to air it out helps the AC to cool faster. Drive for about 3-5 minutes with the AC on and then roll up the windows.

Yes, if you open two window - one on the sunny and one on the shady side of the car. The buildup of hot air inside the car can escape, and cooler air drawn in. The best cars are those with "wing" windows so you can crack one of those open, then crack a regular one to promote air flow.

If you also put a sunshade over your windshield, and even over your rear and side windows, it will cool even more. White/light colored cars are cooler than dark ones.

I believe so, because sometimes there is little air (wind) that is present even on hot days, and it may go in your car. also make sure that you have a windshield screen to cover your windshield to help keep cool and cool your steering wheel.

I live in MD and I like to crack my windows a bit on hot days, the difference is an improvement versus keeping the windows closed

Yes, but it depends on how hot, humid, and how bright it is on that day. If its hot like in the South or Mexico, then definitely. If your from up north where you have low humidity and 90 or 95 seems hot to you, then it might not be that noticeable. But definitely here. I would come out after class, open the door, and immediately begin perspiring (think sauna temps.), just from standing in front of the door, much less sitting in the car.

I think so. There is less of a blast of built up heat when you first open the door if your windows have been cracked. It takes less time to cool the whole car once you get moving.

Yes, it does. If you open both of the front windows (or back) just an inch or two (not enough for anybody to be able to get their hand through), it will let air flow through which will keep it cooler inside.
