Today`s Correio da manha continues to state that according to police sources the investigation has ruled out any "stranger involvement"

I am not speculating on the parents or friend`s involvement.
I personally believe the parents guilty of neglect , but do not point the finger at them.

I would like to know just how credible are these portuguese newspapers?? The English presss are not reflecting the reporting tone in Portugal at all. Do you think that this is significant or not?

the statement 'the english papers are not reflecting the reporting tone, etc' says it all really, you're only being fed preselected junk, it's components being dependent on the daily rag of choice.

I don't think that the McCanns murdered Madeleine but there are obviously a hell of a lot of questions that need to be answered and the British Press has got to publicise this latest development. The McCanns' sainthood status has always been a joke. I tend to go along with the drug overdose. The McCanns weren't just 'dining' they were out for the evening. What's more, if Madeleine died between 1800hrs and 2000 hrs, where does that put Gerry's check at 2100 hrs? It would be really good to have these discrepancies in all the evidence so far properly analysed. Perhaps that is what the British police are now doing? Not before time.

Well I'd say they're on the ball. After all there is not and never has been any definitive proof that she was kidnapped. That has always just been an assumption because the parents say they're not involved. Not that I'm saying they are involved.

The English press are butt kissing idiots that wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit them on the you know what. They are hedging their bets but I can guarantee that if the parents are proven to be involved in any way the press will tear them a new one. The Portugese press are probably just a reliable as the English press, so you'd be as well not buying any newspapers. The press suit themselves and can make or break people they are extremely dangerous that way.

I think the Portugese newspapers may be more credible than the British press when they write about this case. Ruling out kidnapping would fit with other reports that evidence of a dead body has been found by a 'cadavour dog' in the McCann apartment and another apartment.

The Portugese press are very negative of the McCanns and recently they published a story saying that friends of the McCanns -(who gave evidence against Robert Murat saying they saw him outside the McCanns apartment on the day of Madeleines abduction) had met up with Murat days before the abduction, there was no truth to this story so i would not beleive this new story.

There has been more twists and turns in this whole thing but one thing that remains the same is McCanns are guilty of child neglect and should be charged for that. Time will tell about the rest.

I think the British press are wary of publicising the new developments.

It is "McCann homebase" afterall, and I don't think the newscasters want to be seen as taking a U-turn on the whole saga.

I think the Portugese media have a more critical outlook on the case, rather than a story blinded by sympathy. That's why they probably have more freedom to report.

The Portuguese papers are a lot braver than our own as they fear no one..

There was never any proof of an actual abduction .. even though this term was slung round with ease by certain people ..

Only time will tell with this story and i feel it is not looking good for Maddie

maybe the british press dont want to upset the apple cart as they probably sell millions of papers with this storyline. If they upset the Mccanns then they cannot get the best stories so it makes sense for them to not to print any negative press.

There never was a "kidnap" to theorise about, I won't say any more, I'll just wind up with another violation from "the friends of the saints"
