Because cheating has NOTHING to do with how your partner looks. Hell Halle Berry got cheated on.

While I agree that it is not about the looks, and it is totally about character, I have to disagree with the fact that once a cheater, always a cheater. Some people are deficient in some aspects of their life and cheat out of a result of ignorance, thinking they can find the remedy outside of themselves. Some people after cheating, will actually do the work necessary on themselves to figure out what made them cheat in the first place, feel remorse, ask for forgiveness from God, receive it, then move on.

There are a number of reasons why men cheat. Just because his wife or girlfriend is pretty or even drop dead gorgeous doesn't mean he won't stray. There are men out there, of course, who DON'T cheat, so I'm not making a blanket statement for all men.
Those who do cheat - it could be the trill of the chase and something new, not feeling an attachment to the person he's with, perhaps his sex drive is higher than his partner's... it's hard to say.

Being a happily married man who's only dated 1 girl in his life and married her I wouldn't know. I think there are probably lots of different reasons in a lot of different cases. I agree with the ego thing but I also maybe have a different reason. I think we men always feel the need for recognition and respect. I know a kiss after I've finished a project or a thank you for no reason is one of the main reasons I love my wife. Women need an I love you everyday. While thats nice for a guy as well, he doesn't really need it. He needs to feel respected.

because man are pigs and they likes to have their cake and eat it too. it doesn't matter what the woman looks like or anything if they not getting what they wants then they just going to get it somewhere else. some of them have big egos were they have to have more then one woman. they don't know how to make a commitment to one woman and they are always don't use the head on their shoulders they always use the one in their pants. no matter what if he's a cheater then he's going to cheat. they always say once a cheater always a cheater. but women are just as guilty as men too. I'm not trying to bash men or anything here. it's just they don't know what they have until it's to late. if a man would talk a woman to a woman about how they feel, what they want, or what works and doesn't work in the relationship then they probably wouldn't cheat.

sometimes being pretty doesn't make up for how the person acts or portrays themselves. The most beautiful person can be the most ugliest. Maybe he is not happy with her because if he is seeing someone else he is not wanting to make the commentment of being with one person. But then again, some guys are like that. Take into consideration his age, background, family and things that have been in his life. It sucks that some guys treat girls like that but it does happen. If it is pertaining to you and he is seeing other girls then maybe you should see someone else.

It has NOTHING to do with pretty or how a girl looks. It has to do with character. Once a cheater...always a cheater!!! It is a character flaw. They like variety and no girl or guy for that matter can change a cheaters heart. Cheaters cheat because they want to cheat, because they can cheat and because THEY have low self esteem. You can not help them with this. They are lost to their own faults!

If he's a selfish egomaniac he could cheat on a drop dead gorgeous girl with an average girl without a second thought. Cheaters don't care how "pretty" their SO is.

I disagree with some of the male bashing here on this subject. It takes two to tango. Why would a girl cheat on a good-looking guy she's been dating? The fact is that it has little to do with gender or looks. It has to do with some individuals being immature, selfish, ignorant, insecure, or easily manipulated. It has to do with living in a society where sex sells, and is easily available. It has to do with some people simply not being deserving of that pretty girl they are dating.

Actually i dont approve cheating...like noone does but the situation is if you re having a relationship and he is cheating on you its pretty obvious is what he has is not enough for him. So being pretty intellegent..or things like that doesnt make ur relationship stable. Its just some characteristics of yours. What makes relationships lasts long is "love...respect.." concepts like that so why would ur guy cheat on u if he really loved u..it has nothing to do with outher properties but inside.
sorry that u had to face with that but...things like that happens..dont lose ur hope ...and try to talk with him like if something is wrong with u or missing in u...not for him..but just for yourself try to improve yourself...its not the beauty all the time but other things

It's not just about looks. If his needs aren't being met he is inclined to cheat. Yes, some men are pigs, and will cheat no matter what. There are lots of dishonest women out there too.
