Actually, my version is "THAT'S why I don't want kids".

Its a cliche I know, but you do end up wanting to blame the parents. As one writer once said, the only test for parenthood is the practical as it were, if there was a written test we would have a lot less kids out there.

I came to fatherhood courtesy of a relationship and spend time with my kids explaining that there was a standard of behaviour expected - not onerous but a standard nonetheless. I tried to explain why something needed to be done. The temptation to smack is always a strong one but to be honest from my experience has sod all effect in the long run.

I turn to my daughter and say, "Girl, I wish you would try some sh*t like that."
Seriously. I don't normally cuss in front of her, but I will be stern and let her know that she BETTER not cut up. She is actually a joy to have in public. She has thrown a tantrum ONCE in the store when she was two. Never again since then.

Hey. I don't LIKE spanking my kids. I avoid it when EVER I can, but shoot, sometimes that time out mess just DOES NOT work.

LMAO! Those are the kids that has control of the parent, my girl knows better. There is no telling how much footage Wal~Mart has of me dragging her through the store in a head lock!!! Or the elbow to the side of the head! Or the slap across the lips followed by the finger in the face....all those are my "Don't you DARE moves"
My girl acts good in a store, if she starts I tell her "wait til we get back in the car" that straightens her out! ;)

I have my own kids and have no regrets. They were raised to be respectable and are the greatest joy in life.

When I see other kids acting bad in public, I don't look at the kids and judge. They're just kids. I look at the parents.

Nope, I have kids. When they start acting up we just leave right away. You do that a couple of times they start to get the point.

No, I have kids and I am thankful that I do (even though they are grown). Look, kids acting up in public is normal. If you don't like that, I suggest you never have any.

Sometimes but lots of times I say out loud, "damn those kids need some proper house training!" so the mother can hear me!

no, but it makes me want to give the parents a swift kick in the a$$ for not doing anything to those kids

No (because I do have a kid)

I just feel bad for the parents - they're probably upset and embarrassed by their kid's behavior. If they're in a restaurant or a movie theatre I just hope the parents take them outside.
