I want to build a shelf for my books, but I don't know how. There is one more problem. I don't want it to be made of wood because I can't afford the wood. Do you know something else? I need help. PLEASE! I need all kinds of suggestions. Thank You

Sounds to me like you're out of luck.

Put your books on top of a piece of furniture and use book ends.

If you don't own furniture, put them on the floor and use book ends. If you don't have book ends, get a couple large rocks and use them for book ends.

Or sell something that you own to buy a shelf or buy wood to build a shelf. Or go outside and chop down a small tree with a hatchet and chop out a section of the trunk and use the hatchet to plane it roughly flat to make a shelf.

If you sell all your books, you will make enough money for the wood.
