Does Marc Anthony speak spanish well?

I know he sings perfectly in Spanish but I heard him speak in an interview in Spanish and he was asking for translations and tripping over his words...

I can't believe he is less fluent in Spanish than Jennifer. All the years of singing in Spanish.... anyone know?

It depends, sometimes if they learned english before spanish, even though he grew up in a Puerto Rican family, the tendency is to translate from English to Spanish in the mind. Also if most of the time as it is in my family, we speak Spanglish, so to remember not to do that is hard. This might be what he is experiencing.

I have never seen him in an interview. But I have seen him in concerts and he speeks and also sings very well to the audience.

I, myself come from a spanish family and I also have trouble translating some words from english to spanish or vice versa. Many words that the Spanish language has, does not necessarily have an English exact translation and the same from English to Spanish.

As far as JLO is concerned, I have heard her speak spanish and I think she is far worse.

If he can sing in Spanish I'd believe that he can speak it well outside the studio.
