Perpendicular slopes...

if one has a gradient of x then the other has a gradient of -1/x
better giving you the knowledge to understand maths for the future than giving you the answer to get you unstuck for a day ^_^

Two slopes are perpendicular if they are negative reciprocals of each other:

m2 = -1/m1

or, multiplying each side by m1:

m1m2=-1
