What observations would you see when you mix a Potassium Sulphate Solution with these respectively:
1. Barium Chloride Solution
2. Dilute Hydrochloric acid
3. Barium chloride solution followed by dilute Hydrochloric acid

Also, what would you observe when you mix these three substances respectively with Potassium Sulphite Solution.

P.S- If you know the answer how did you get to it? From the equations?

BaCl2 + K2SO4 ---------> BaSO4 +2 KCl ;

BaSO4 ( white)is precipitated.
+ +
2.
K2SO4 + HCl (dil.) ----------->2 K + H3O + SO4'' + Cl'
Transparent solution

3.
K2SO4 + BaCl2 --------> BaSO4 + 2KCl;
Barium sulphate is ppted. which does not go into solution even after addition of dil. HCl.

1) BaSO4 ppt (White)

2) No ppt or evolution of gas, colour etc.

3) BaSO4 ppt (White)

No changes (visibly) for K2SO3
