Good morning Billy...never been to Alabama, but it sure can get hot and humid here in Maine. Just have the energy to sit around the air conditioner and sip a cold drink and dress down to barely nothing, relax and listen to some good music. Can't even get into trouble!

Haven't been to Hell, but have been to Alabama in August, and I'd have to agree it is not condusive to doing anything more energetic than sit in a chair and fan yourself.
I remember thinking to myself, about a past age when the plantations were in full operation, and those White Ladies in all the layers of clothes from neck to ankle. No air conditioning in those days. No side-by-side ice-dispensing refrigerators, no electric fans. I used to live in the Mediterranean where homes do not routinely have any air conditioning. I was quite used to it, but at least I could wear the flimsiest of garments, and if I really wanted to cool off, there was a very big "swimming pool" only about 15 minutes drive from the house.
Of course, even in Alabama, these days, there's A/C, so I suppose if you got in the house and turned it up, you might manage a bit of indoor sport without collapsing from heat stroke.

I can only imagine. Are you 'chasing the monkey yet'. When you start seeing the monkey, its time to head for the Air Conditioner, stat!
You should feel the swelter zone in Washington, DC today. All of the glass buildings reflect the sun and makes the city a frickin' hot box. Its supposed to be 98 today and 100-103 tomorrow and Wednesday.
Blech!!! My hair is a nightmare!!

I believe you, since August in Athens is an excellent motivator to be bad. Because
1. It takes too much energy to even breath
2. Hell is cooler than this

Oh yeah, ya can't beat it with a stick! I should be sweating about 10 lbs of water off today...
Ya know we may already be in hell, has anyone checked yet?
