If I had to chose one, I would go with TheHotel at Mandalay Bay. This hotel is pretty new and the amenities in the rooms and spa are GREAT! Plus the pool at Mandalay Bay is probably the best around, they even have a dedicated casino area for people at the pool, you can gamble in your bathing suit! Plus with restaurants like Fluer de Lys, MIX and other fine dining and wine tasting places - they have some of the best places to eat and drink around. Plus they have a great casino floor so you can gamble and play any game you want. The rooms in TheHotel are VERY nice and modern looking with some of the best views of the strip!
As for the Mirage, it is a little older but still a very nice hotel. For one, it has a better buffet that Mandalay Bay (my opinion), and has a far superior poker room. It also has the addition of a new night club (which mandalay bay lacks) called JET, and its pretty nice, trendy and fun. The rooms at the Mirage are also great - and its surprising the charm and elegance this casino has after all these years - great place to drink, gamble, and now dance at.
My vote is for THEHotel, but either way, you cant lose bro - have fun and hope this helps!

I have stayed at Mandalay Bay but not The HOTEL and I have also stayed at the Mirage. I prefer the regular rooms at Mandalay Bay to the upgraded rooms at the Mirage. The only reason to choose the Mirage would be its location. The rooms at the Venetian beat them both.

Mirage is a little cheaper, but very nice, but I think Mandolay bay has by far the best pool area...It boasts a huge lazy river, and wave pool that is unique to that hotel. Mirage pool area is very nice, but more standard type with palm trees etc...If you have a choice, and money is not an option, stay at Mandolay Bay.

I prefer the HOTEL at the Mandalay Bay. The HOTEL is newer and built with a very trendy style to appeal to younger people. It has popular bars and restaurants and top notch amenities. The Mirage is nice, but it is starting to show its age. It is the first of the newer breed of themed hotels and it's time for a little TLC.

Mandolay Bay is the best hotel! I love to go to swimming pool the best there!
