How much do Dems care about those needy people?

Medicare Advantage is too market based for their tastes.

The left has made their position clear. They are unwilling to accept any health care solution unless it increases the number of government dependents.

UHC will not be far behind.

Sam, don't freak out. My mom was on medicare for years in Georgia, and her copays had her still paying about 1/3 of her soc.sec. check for meds. Then i moved her to Florida with me and enrolled her in United healthcare's plan for seniors, and poof, great medical care, ZERO copays, and ZERO hospital bills. They also let us order over the counter drugs by mail for free.
So, the govt. plan is not the only way. Check out all the companies.like Humana, HIP, United, etc. and you'll find a better deal than medicare. Those companies will accept her medicare deduction. And if she gets to the point of needing nursing home, change her back to medicaid and they'll pay for that. Until then, Private insurance Senior plans are the best.
BTW, don't just blame dems. If it were up to the (R)'s your mom would get ZIPPO!

They don't want to get rid of it. They want to stop overpaying for it. Currently, payment rates for these private plans are 12% higher than traditional fee-for-service rates in the broader Medicare system. They want to use this money to fund the children's health care program that Bush is actually trying to eliminate.
