Is there anywhere online that I can look at someone's criminal record for free? Without any stupid gimmicks?

my state has an on line site to check all court records, it is neat to see who is on the list and why. it lists all court records as they are public. so instead of searching for criminal records you might try your states court records. some states may not be as progressive but at least you could look to see.

No, there are not. They are confidential and only authorized personnel have access.
