The youngest girl to have had a NHS funded pregnancy termination has just received cosmetic surgery (breast implants) ALSO paid for by the tax payer. Apparently the girl was suffering teasing from her peers because her breasts had 'sagged'. We learn that after the first termination she actually went on to another pregnancy and gave birth to a baby girl. Her mother with whom she lives has 7 other children -none of which have the same father. I do not know if any of the children from EITHER of these woman have support from the sperm donors. A 103 year old woman is being evicted from her care home because the local council will not pay the extra £150 per week that the home is asking for. Drugs for Alzeihmers patients are deemed too expensive to lighten the load of the carers within the families. Cancer research depends on donations. Is this madness or is it just me?

To bypepsinotcok : We blame Bush for a lot of things but perhaps he's not to blame this time for the state of the British youth culture and the total disintegration of the British way of life! Although some may argue!!! Thank you all for your comments - I thought it was just me that couldn't get my head around this one!

It's not just you. I must say - news of such events inspires me to do something for the people around me that I feel deserve a little care, attention or defense...because it does seem that the deserving don't receive even a modicum of compassion.
I don't care who may be to blame. I want to know what I can do.

When you have the government do something, they will do it the least efficient, least effective way possible. That's the nature of bureaucracy. Yes, it is madness: it is madness to expect anything more from bureaucracy. Remember, it is run by people who couldn't get jobs in the private sector, where they would have to be productive and efficient.
