I dont think its wise to buy clothes b4 you are pregnant. I mean you arent going to jynx anything, I dont believe in that. I mean, if it makes you feel better, why not buy one, or two max outfits to get it out of your system. Like an "I love Daddy" shirt and then a "I love Mummy" shirt aswell.
Also I dont see the harm in keeping a spare pregnancy test in the house. Its not like they are super expensive if you end up wasting it. And it will save the suspense when you need one and you have it in the house, rather than having to go down to the pharmacy. Do what you want to do. None of it is bad. It can only be called wasting money. But you most likely wont be wasting money anyway!

Good luck!! :o)

I am TTC Baby number 2! What I did with the pregnancy test was went on www.babyhopes.com and bough the 20 ml. Sensistive test strips in Lots so I could test when needed without running all the way to the nearest drug store, With the baby things I dont see a problem if its somthing small. Like if your in a store and see maybe a Cap or whatever as long as its small and inexpensive. I did this just the other day browsing through the baby things. And seen a sock and Cap set "yellow" so bought it I think it was like 2 bucks.

Its one of the biggest decision you will ever make in your life when you choose to have a baby. The nine months you have to wait before coming face to race to face with your newborn for the first time can seem a lifetime especially if it had taken a while to conceive in the first place. What you buy before hand will by noway affect the outcome of your anticipated pregnancy only mother nature herself will choose. Its so exciting and preparing yourself in every way possible can only be a good thing. Make sure that you look after yourself eat well, rest well and exersise to get your body ready for the incredibla changes you will go through. As for pregnacy tests no doubt when you test positive yoou will only take another just to be sure!!
Good luck and be patient as life as you know it will never be the same again x x

If it was me i wouldnt buy any of it. You will only be disappointed if you dont conceive very soon. Buying the baby clothes will get you really excited then you may just feel let down if the test is negative! I dont see a problem with keeping a test in the house, i just wouldnt buy any baby bits just yet.

I wouldnt say you are tempting fate...Obviously you are ready to be a parent..cant hurt to buy things, worse case, you can always give them as gifts if other people get pregnant before you!

as for the test, sure, keep em around! easier than running out :)

Good luck getting pregnant, you sound like you want it!

you need to relax and buying baby stuff will just make you more obsessive, having a pregnancy test on hand is OK but believe me it took me 23 plus years to get pregnant and there are going to be ups and downs while trying.

I always had pregnancy tests in the house, and I stared buying stuff for my baby before I was even MARRIED, and continued to until nearly 3 years after my husband and I got together until we got pregnant.

Its not temping fate, its having faith and love in and for that child before its even made.

I know it's probably silly, but my mum and nan always thought it was bad luck to buy stuff until the end of your pregnancy.
