With Canada maybe, but we'd be nuts to tie up with a third world country like Mexico. Guess who would carry the weight of that burden? Oh wait, we already do.

It is the goal and it's coming.
You think the flood of Mexicans is an accident?
We kept them out of the USA for 200 years and then, over the past 31 the flood gates have been opened. The purpose? A economic block of a billion or more people to compete with China.
Every American President, at least since Nixon, has been a supporter of this and it makes me sick.
Treason! Treason! Treason! None Dare Call It Treason.
These gangsters tried this after WWI and in the past 20 years you have seen it unravel in Europe.

Nations like USA or Canada are large and therefore, need not have to form a union like the one in Europe or would happen in Africa.
Moreover, their economic crisis made them follow this track unlike US or Canada which need not have to do the same. Might be I would suggest such an approach would be meaningful in case of erstwhile Soviet states to reunite as a union to make their economic position bit stronger. Even excluding the Russian state the other ex-soviet states can float an economic union to benefit themselves and come out of other political crisis such as frequent elections and civil war kind of situations. But not too sure whether some or all of these ex-soviet states are now part of EU.
And the proposed AU is a welcome move, but I am not too sure with poverty and ignorance as the highest stake holder in most of the african countries the failed states would need a lot of NGOs to achieve this herculean task.
Because the governments are being run by corrupt, power-hungry politicians or dictators. The recent oil discoveries in some african countries should bring in some relief in the next few years.

We already are ! As an American, you must realize we are 50 States; 50 different autonomous governments under one umbrella that we call the United States of America. Where you home schooled or did you go to one of those Bible schools?

No. The Hutus and Tutsies cannot live together in peace. I cannot figure out the difference between the two. In Sudan, someone is killing someone. I cannot tell the parties apart. The whole continent is like that.

Aren't we already a subsidiary of Mexico?
Watch out, Canada; that new superhighway is going to have its tentacles into you, too.
